Funds Overview

By leveraging the expertise of its investment professionals and consultants, Herald Investment Management Ltd invests across the entire spectrum of quoted and unquoted companies in the global Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT) space via four investment vehicles:

Herald Investment Trust plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, was launched in February 1994. It generally invests in quoted companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors globally with a market capitalisation below £1bn. The net assets/share have risen over 4x from a launch price of 100p.

Herald Worldwide also invests in quoted companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sector globally but does not have a market capitalisation limit. It is an open-ended fund listed in Dublin. Like the investment trust it is one of the top performing technology funds over ten years (see performance). The fund was launched in April 1998.

Herald Ventures comprises of two funds. The first venture fund was launched in 1999, through three LLPs, in order to exploit the natural deal flow of HIML. This fund is now fully invested. The second venture fund was raised in 2005. It continues to seek new investment opportunities for £250,000 to £1m. The two funds totalling £50m, invest in UK unquoted companies in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.
